Apex Legends season 5 is currently scheduled to go live on May 12. The next season was previously expected to become available on May 5, but Respawn has decided to change its plans. The upcoming season will introduce new content to the game, including a new legend. And now, it seems like the Reconnect Feature is also going to make its way to Apex Legends through it.
Apex Legends Season 5 Reconnect Feature
Recently, Apex Legends data miner iLootGames noticed that the developers accidentally shared some notes through which they have revealed something interesting. The dev notes are for the Ranked Series 4 of season 5 and they talk about how things have been so far. At the end of the post, the developers mentioned that they are bringing the reconnect feature to Apex Legends through the fifth season.
“As we work on stability and systems like Loss Forgiveness that help make it more forgiving to play ranked and really focus on your climb, we wanted to offer even more ways to recover from crashes or internet outages. We’re happy to announce that reconnect is coming in Season 5.” The post further explains, “If you get disconnected due to internet weather, a quick brownout, or a crash in the game – you can now just restart and if the session is still ongoing you will reload right back into the session. We hope this helps get you back in the game quickly and easily to keep earning that RP. Expect more details in the final patch notes.”
The reconnect feature is something fans have been requesting since the game’s release. Many players were bothered by the fact that they were thrown out of the match if they got disconnected. But now, in Season 5, this will not be the case as you will be able to start from where you left off.
